This last weekend, the Disney announced many news that should reach your Florida parks Soon, more specifically in Magic Kingdom. Destination D23, a smaller version of D23 Expo, where the company reveals a little bit of everything that is to come in the Disney universe — either in parks, hotel business or even in animations (as I told you in this post) Here.).

The event took place at the Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, where Disney has already revealed some attractions that arrive this year to the city parks. I have gathered here the main changes and surprises that come around in the Disney parks in Florida. Let’s check it out?

News at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park in Florida

TRON wins new overlay at Florida Disney Parks

One of the news announced in Florida Disney Parks was the update of TRON Lightcycle / Run.
The look of the attraction will change: now, the lights in red and orange promise to make the experience even more intense and immersive. The new layout makes reference to the film TRON: Ares, which premieres in American cinemas on October 10, 2025.

Another novelty of the attraction is the soundtrack: the rock band Nine Inch Nails will include music on the way to give visitors even more adrenaline.

However, this change will not be permanent. It will be available from September 15, 2025, for limited time. Disney did not reveal the date on which it will be released, but it is likely to last only while the film is on display.

So if you're on a trip to Orlando during that period and want to enjoy this experience, you're on the tip!
Ah, that change will also be added to the version of Shanghai Disneyland, from September 16th.

New in Magic Kingdom: Walt Disney's Animatronics

Who to visit Carousel of ProgressAt Magic Kingdom, you will experience a special experience: the attraction will receive a Audio-Animatronics Walt Disney himself.

This animatronic was inaugurated at Disneyland, California, in July this year, and impressed the public by the similarity and realism. Disney, however, has not yet revealed the opening date at Magic Kingdom.

It's exciting to think that this novelty connects visitors directly to the creator of everything, bringing even more meaning to one of the most classic attractions of Disney parks in Florida.

Cinderella Castle returns to original color

One of the most unexpected announcements was undoubtedly the change in the color palette of Cinderella Castle. Currently in shades of pink and blue, it will return to the original look, with blue, cream, gray and golden details.

The aim is to further highlight the imponence of the castle, which remains the heart of Disney parks in Florida.
The date of the change has not yet been disclosed.

What about Villains Land?

As I mentioned in the Post on Destination D23, one of the most anticipated panels was the Villains LandThe audience expected Disney to reveal more details about the area of the villains in Magic Kingdom, which will be responsible for the park's biggest expansion.

However, little information was given. The company just informed that the works have not yet begun and that it is seeking inspiration in European architecture. The village must mix the concept of Art Nouveau with the dark atmosphere of the classic Disney characters.

The legendary animator Andreas Deja participates as a consultant, which already guarantees authenticity and increases even more expectation.

Andreas is a former Disney animator and is known for bringing life to the best-known villains of the screens: Gaston ( Beauty and the Beast), Jafar ( Aladdin) and Scar (The Lion King).
